Itinerary

Day 1

Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Kaziranga (240km/5hrs)

At first we will receive you up at the LGBI airport in Guwahati and then we will take you directly to Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park is a world heritage site in Assam popular for the one horned rhinoceros, a wide range of animals like Indian bison, Asiatic elephants, deer, stag, leopard, royal Bengal tiger, wild boar, and many migratory birds. With an area more than 400 square kilometers Kaziranga is an amazing place worth visiting. The night’s stay will be at Kaziranga.

Day 2

Kaziranga Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)

We will take you to the elephant safari of the national park in the early morning. You can have a closer view of the wildlife in the park on the back of elephants. After that we will show you some places around Kaziranga like tea gardens, orchid gardens, hilly streams, Assamese villages and Karbi ethnic village models. We will also take you for jeep safari of the national park in the afternoon. You will be staying at the same place in Kaziranga.

Day 3

Kaziranga to Shillong (280km/7hrs)

After breakfast at Kaziranga, we will set out towards Shillong. It will be mostly a road trip day through the wonderful plains of Assam and hills of Meghalaya. On the way, we will stop at Umium Lake to enjoy the panoramic view of the beautiful lake. After reaching our destination, we will check-in to our hotel. If time permits, you can go out to visit the local market in Shillong. The night's stay will be at Shillong.

Day 4

Shillong Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)

In the morning, we will take you out for sightseeing of the city. Shillong is a beautiful city of Meghalaya, with drizzling rains and cold breezes most of the time. For such a nice weather of this city, it is popularly known as Scotland of the East. The places to see here are Umiam lake (which will falls on our way to Shillong), Wards Lake, Lady Hyadri Park, Don Bosco Museum, Elephants falls, Golf course, and the Shillong peak (from where the entire city is visible). We will stay in Shillong.

Day 5

Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji (245km/9hrs)

We will go to Mawlynnong in the morning. After reaching Mawlynnong we will show you around Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong (the cleanest village in Asia) is popular for its cleanliness and living root bridge. A living root bridge is formed naturally by the roots of trees in a long course of time. We will then go to Dawki, where there is a river called Umngot river famous for boating. It has also an old suspension bridge constructed in British era. From Dawki we will go to Cherrapunji to stay there for the night.

Day 6

Cherrapunji Sightseeing (60km/7hrs)

We will go out for Cherrapunji sightseeing in the morning. We will show you around the places in Cherrapunji such as the Mawsmai caves, Nohkalikai falls, Seven sisters falls and a few other living root bridges including a double decker living root bridge. The stay will be at the same place.

Day 7

Cherrapunji to Guwahati, Airport Drop (190km/6hrs)

We will start our return journey from Cherrapunji in the morning. We will directly head towards Guwahati to drop you off at the airport. After reaching there, if we have some time left with us then we will go out for sightseeing of one or two places in Guwahati like the Kamakhya temple or Umananda (the smallest river island in the world) or Srimanta Sankardev kalakshetra or the Deepor Beel.

Accommodation as mentioned sharing basis and mentioned meal plan.
All transportation will be organized by us through an dedicated air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver.
Breakfast is included in the package.
Cost of 1 jeep safari with a dedicated jeep in Kaziranga National Park is included in the package.
Cost of 1 elephant safari in a shared elephant ride in Kaziranga National Park, subjected to availability, is included in the package.
Pickup and drop from Guwahati Airport / Railway station/Bus station.
All sightseeing, land transfer & inter hotel transfer.
Driver allowance, Toll, Parking, Road Tax, Fuel charge, night halt, Interstate charges, Kaziranga Forest toll and forest guard welfare fees are included.
Child below 5 yrs sharing same bed with parents will be complimentary and will be according to hotel rules.

5% GST will be charged on the total cost.
Entry fees of sightseeing spots, camera fees and optional activity/service costs like Rafting, Trekking, Guide fees etc are not included in the package.

For Foreign Nationals, surcharges like national park entry fees, Protected Area Permit and mandatory guide fees (for Arunachal State trips) are excluded.

Vehicle Details

The standard package cost is calculated for either a Toyota Innova (AC) or a Mahindra Maarazzo (AC). So, a dedicated vehicle of the said type, with a dedicated driver, would be provided for all of the five package options.

Note: In case a different vehicle type is needed, then please state the requirements in your query and we will send you a customized package file with quotations for the requirement.

Terms and Conditions

Above rates are calculated on the basis of hotels mentioned.
Paradise Northeast does NOT have any HIDDEN CHARGES.
If someone asks for extra money during the journey, Please inform us. We will not be responsible if you pay the amount without our knowledge and consent.
Booking will be confirmed only after receiving the advance payment.
In case of non availability of rooms in the mentioned hotels, this will be communicated to you and we will provide other options.
In case you are not convinced with the new options, advance paid will be refunded to you after deducting a service charge of INR 1,000.
Hotels for each category are selected as per the budget and through our feedback system.
There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
Certain hotel may enforce special tariffs for mandatory gala/dinner on special dates like Christmas and/or New Year's Eve etc. The surcharge in the hotel tariff is not included while calculating the total cost of the package. You may need to pay additional amount for certain hotels for some special dates.
The dedicated vehicle provided to you is only to serve you the itinerary. It is not at your disposal.
As per Tawang local laws, outside vehicles are not allowed for local sightseeing. Therefore, we may have to arrange different local vehicle for Tawang sightseeing and we can’t assure about the quality of that vehicle as they provide vehicles as per their methods.
Credit Cards / Traveler's check are not freely accepted in many places.
In this region, roof carriers are not allowed in the vehicles. So, it is advised to bring luggage accordingly.
We advise you to check the temperature/weather of the places you are going to visit, and bring necessary clothes accordingly.
Woolen clothes, Jacket, Raincoat/Umbrella etc. are advisable to carry according to weather conditions.
We suggest you to check reviews and location of hotels mentioned to make sure it is as per your preferences before confirming the package.
Any extra breakfast for kids which is not mentioned has to be paid directly by guest as per the hotel policy.
Paradise Northeast has the right to upgrade any hotel room type or vehicle type without charging extra amount from the guest. However, we never downgrade the same.
The guest must carry photo identification like Passport, Voter ID Card or Driving License IN ORIGINAL at the point of check in at the hotel.

The normal check-in time for a hotel is 2 PM, and normal check-out time for a hotel is 11 AM. However, this is subjected to change as per the hotel policies. The timing of meals and/or inclusions of a certain hotel room are as per the hotel policies.
