Itinerary

Day 1

Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Dirang ( 390km/10hrs)

We will receive you at the Guwahati international airport at thesaid time and from there we will take you straight to Dirang. Dirang is a beautiful valley located in the foothills of the Himalayan ranges. The prime attractions of Dirang are birding (bird-watching of Himalayan birds), the monasteries, Dirang - Dzong, old Tibetan architectures along the Tibetan villages, and a very old electricity mill. Your stay will be at Dirang for the night.

Day 2

Dirang to Tawang (145km/7hrs)

On this day, we will start our jouney to Tawang. Just outside Dirang, on the way to Tawang, there is a hot water spring. After viewing the hot water spring we will next stop at Vaisakhi where there is an Army canteen and a Dosa point. After enjoying some Dosas we will continue. We will also stop by at certain beautiful places on the way, such as the Sela Pass (13700 feet), the Paradise Lake or the Sela Lake near the Sela Pass, and the War Memorial of Jaswantgarh. Afterwards, we will show you to Nuranang waterfalls which also falls on the way, and then finally reach Tawang. Then, we will take you out to see the local places in Tawang. We will show you the places like the second largest monastery in Asia, the Tawang Monastery, the Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, the Nun monastery (which is also accessible by a rope way), the Craft centre, the Emporium, Apple garden, and Tawang War Memorial. You will stay at Tawang.

Day 3

Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

On this day, we will go for the sightseeing of places around Tawang, which are not within the locality of Tawang. The places like the PTSO Lake, the Heart Lake, the Sangester Lake, the Nagula Lake, Y Junction, and the Bum La Pass (border of India and China) are not within Tawang and are scattered in different directions. So it will take a complete day to check out all these places. Also, an important point that if you are planning to visit the India - China border, i.e. Bum La Pass then you must choose one of our itinerary with at least 3 days stay at Tawang as the pass for visiting Bum La Pass cannot be obtained within a day. You will be staying at the same place.

Day 4

Tawang to Bomdila (185km/8hrs)

We will come back to Bomdila, a town in the valley of foothills of Himalaya. The places to see in Bomdila are Bomdila monastery, Bomdila market, Bomdila view point, and an orchid garden in Tipi (which will be shown to you en-route to Kaziranga). Birding is also very popular in Bomdila. The Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary is also very near to Bomdila, which is a famous attraction among the birders across the globe. Your stay will be at Bomdila.

Day 5

Bomdila to Kaziranga (240km/7hrs)

We take you to Kaziranga National Park, a World Heritage site situated in of Assam. With thousands and thousands of tourist visiting the place every year, this place is famous for the one horned rhinoceros, and a number of species of flora and fauna like Asiatic elephant, royal Bengal tiger (in its natural habitat), leopards, different species of deer and stag, Himalayan bison, migratory birds etc. The other sightseeing places nearby Kaziranga are the orchid gardens, the ethnic village, the beautiful green tea gardens etc. The stay for the night will be at Kaziranga.

Day 6

Kaziranga to Shillong (280km/7hrs)

After having an elephant safari inside the Kaziranga national park in the morning (an elephant safari is a safari where visitors are shown the places of Kaziranga on the back of an elephant so that they can enjoy the wildlife from very closeness), we will head towards Shillong after breakfast. It would be a road trip of around 7 hours, filled with stops at different places to enjoy the scenic beauties and the different cuisines of Assam and Meghalaya. After reaching Shillong, we will show you the local places of Shillong. The stay will be at Shillong.

Day 7

Shillong & Cherrapunji Sightseeinhg (170km/9hrs)

Shillong is a beautiful hill station of Northeast. Popularly known as the Scotland of the east, it has a beautiful weather. The places to see in Shillong are Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Elephant falls, and Shillong Peak. We will then go to Cherrapunji - the wettest place on Earth. Also famous for the unending rainfalls, it also has some very wonderful places to see. The Nohkalikai falls, the Seven Sisters falls, Mawsmai caves and some living root bridges are notable among them. Then we will head back to Shillong for the night's stay.

Day 8

Shillong to Guwahati, Airport Drop (100Km/4hrs)

We will pick you up from the Hotel and drop you at Guwahati airport according to your departure time with sweet memories of the trip with Paradise Northeast.

Inner Line Permit for Arunachal Pradesh and processing fees cost is included.
Cost of 1 jeep safari with a dedicated jeep in Kaziranga National Park is included in the package.
Cost of 1 elephant safari in a shared elephant ride in Kaziranga National Park, subjected to availability, is included in the package.
Pickup and drop from Guwahati Airport / Railway station/Bus station.
All sightseeing, land transfer & inter hotel transfer.
Driver allowance, Toll, Parking, Road Tax, Fuel charge, night halt, Interstate charges, Kaziranga Forest toll and forest guard welfare fees are included.
Child below 5 yrs sharing same bed with parents will be complimentary and will be according to hotel rules.

Entry fees of sightseeing spots, camera fees and optional activity/service costs like Rafting, Trekking, Guide fees etc are not included in the package.

Vehicle Details

The standard package cost is calculated for either a Toyota Innova (AC) or a Mahindra Maarazzo (AC). So, a dedicated vehicle of the said type, with a dedicated driver, would be provided for all of the five package options.

Above rates are calculated on the basis of hotels mentioned.
Paradise Northeast does NOT have any HIDDEN CHARGES.
If someone asks for extra money during the journey, Please inform us. We will not be responsible if you pay the amount without our knowledge and consent.
Booking will be confirmed only after receiving the advance payment.
In case of non availability of rooms in the mentioned hotels, this will be communicated to you and we will provide other options.
Hotels for each category are selected as per the budget and through our feedback system.
There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
Certain hotel may enforce special tariffs for mandatory gala/dinner on special dates like Christmas and/or New Year's Eve etc. The surcharge in the hotel tariff is not included while calculating the total cost of the package. You may need to pay additional amount for certain hotels for some special dates.
The dedicated vehicle provided to you is only to serve you the itinerary. It is not at your disposal.
As per Tawang local laws, outside vehicles are not allowed for local sightseeing. Therefore, we may have to arrange different local vehicle for Tawang sightseeing and we can’t assure about the quality of that vehicle as they provide vehicles as per their methods.
Credit Cards / Traveler's check are not freely accepted in many places.
In this region, roof carriers are not allowed in the vehicles. So, it is advised to bring luggage accordingly.
We advise you to check the temperature/weather of the places you are going to visit, and bring necessary clothes accordingly.
Woolen clothes, Jacket, Raincoat/Umbrella etc. are advisable to carry according to weather conditions.
We suggest you to check reviews and location of hotels mentioned to make sure it is as per your preferences before confirming the package.
Any extra breakfast for kids which is not mentioned has to be paid directly by guest as per the hotel policy.
Paradise Northeast has the right to upgrade any hotel room type or vehicle type without charging extra amount from the guest. However, we never downgrade the same.
The guest must carry photo identification like Passport, Voter ID Card or Driving License IN ORIGINAL at the point of check in at the hotel.

The normal check-in time for a hotel is 2 PM, and normal check-out time for a hotel is 11 AM. However, this is subjected to change as per the hotel policies. The timing of meals and/or inclusions of a certain hotel room are as per the hotel policies.
