Itinerary

Day 1

Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Nameri (240km/5hrs)

After receiving you at the Guwahati Airport we will take directly to Nameri situated around 240 kilometres away from Guwahati. Nameri is a national park famous for wide range of wildlife species including tigers, Himalayan bison, stags etc. The main tourists enjoyments in Nameri are the wildlife trekking inside the forest reserve and river water rafting over the Jia Bhoroli River. At the end of a complete day of enjoyment, you will stay at the Nameri for the night.

Day 2

Nameri to Dirang (160Km/6hrs)

On this day, we will set out for Dirang. Dirang is a valley in Himalayan foothill on the way to Tawang and it is famous for Dirang - Dzong. It is also well known among the birders of the world for the different species of Himalayan birds seen around this place. The other prime attractions of Dirang are a very old electricity mill, the monasteries, old Tibetan architectures and Tibetan villages. On the way to Tawang, there is a beautiful hot water spring near Dirang. We will show you that on the next day. We will stay for the night at Dirang.

Day 3

Dirang to Tawang (145Km/7hrs)

On this day we will set off to Tawang. At first we will show you the hot water spring and then continue towards Tawang. We will also get to see many attractive places on our way. The notable attractions on the way are The Sela Pass situated at a height of 13700 feet, the Paradise Lake or the Sela Lake near the Sela Pass and the War Memorial of Jaswantgarh. Before reaching Tawang, you will also get to see the Nuranang waterfalls. After reaching Tawang, we will take you out for sightseeing of the local places of Tawang. We will show you the places like the second largest monastery in Asia, the Tawang Monastery, the Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, the rope ways to the Nun monastery, the Craft centre, Apple garden, the Emporium, and Tawang War Memorial. Your stay will be at Tawang.

Day 4

Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

This day, in Tawang, will be a sightseeing day of places around Tawang which are not within the locality of Tawang. We will head out to see those places. The places we are going to visit on that day are the Bum La Pass at the border of India and China, the Heart Lake, the Nagula Lake, the Sangester Lake, PTSO Lake and the Y Junction. Also, please note that if you are planning to visit the India - China border, then you must choose one of our itineraries with at least 3 days stay at Tawang as the pass for visiting Bum La Pass cannot be obtained within a day. You will be staying Tawang.

Day 5

Tawang to Bomdila (185Km/8hrs)

From Tawang we will come back to Bomdila on this day. Bomdila is a beautiful town in the valley of Himalayan foothills famous for the Bomdila monastery, Bomdila market, apple orchards, orchid farms etc. The Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, famous among the birders is also nearby Bomdila. Your stay for the night will be at Bomdila.

Day 6

Bomdila to Kaziranga, Tezpur Sightseeing (240Km/7hrs)

From there, we will take you to Kaziranga National Park in the morning. Kaziranga is a World Heritage site in Assam famous for the one horned rhinoceros. It is also famous for a number of wildlife species like the tiger (which is seen in its natural habitat), different species of deer, Himalayan bison, different species of migratory bird, Himalayan birds etc. On our way to Kaziranga, we stop by Tezpur and visit the beautiful sightseeing places of this city. Situated along the banks of Brahmaputra, Tezpur is also known as the cultural city of Assam. After sightseeing of places like the Agnigarh, the Lord Shiva temples, the Ghats of Brahmaputra, and the gardens, we will continue towards Kaziranga. Your stay will be at Kaziranga.

Day 7

Kaziranga Sightseeing (80Km/8hrs)

In this day, early in the morning, we will take you out for Elephant safari of Kaziranga National Park. As you will travel through the forest on the back of an elephant, you can enjoy the views of different wildlife species along with the one horned rhinoceros from very closeness. After that we will take you out for the local sightseeing of Kaziranga like the orchid garden, the vast tea-gardens, ethnic villages and Assamese local villages. In the afternoon, we will take you for Jeep safari of Kaziranga National Park in any of the range of your choice. You will also get to taste the delicious Assamese fish curries and cuisines during the stay. Your stay will be at the same place.

Day 8

Kaziranga to Majuli (135km/4hrs)

In the morning, after breakfast, we will set out for the beautiful island Majuli. Majuli is the largest river island. It has an area of around 1250 square kilometers. It is also the only river island district of India. Majuli and its people are so beautiful that people from across the world come to visit Majuli, fall in love with the place and then stay there for many days. It is hard to believe that you are living on such a big river island. The stay will be at Majuli.

Day 9

Majuli Sightseeing (80km/7hrs)

We will set out to explore the river island in the heart of Brahmaputra. The prime attractions of this place are the Vaishnavite culture of Hinduism and its institutions/monasteries, the tribal villages, the cycle trips around the island etc. If you are interested, you can also meet the Forest Man of India Padma ShriJadav Payeng (depending on time and his availability), who is famous for creating a forest from a wasteland of around 1360 acres just by planting trees over many decades. You will stay at Majuli for the night.

Day 10

Majuli to Guwahati (375km/9hrs)

In the morning, we will start towards Guwahati in the morning. After reaching Guwahati, we will show you all the sightseeing places of Guwahati. Guwahati is also called the Gateway of northeast. The places to see around Guwahati are the Kamakhya temple, the Brahmaputra River, the sunset cruises on the Brahmaputra, the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, and the smallest river island in the world - Umananda and the Umananda temple etc. You will be staying at Guwahati for the night.

Day 11

Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop (100km/7hrs)

We will pick you up from the Hotel and drop you at Guwahati airport according to your departure time with sweet memories of the trip with Paradise Northeast.

Pickup and drop from Guwahati Airport / Railway station/Bus station.
All sightseeing, land transfer & inter hotel transfer.

Vehicle Details

The standard package cost is calculated for either a Toyota Innova (AC) or a Mahindra Maarazzo (AC). So, a dedicated vehicle of the said type, with a dedicated driver, would be provided for all of the five package options.

Paradise Northeast does NOT have any HIDDEN CHARGES.
If someone asks for extra money during the journey, Please inform us. We will not be responsible if you pay the amount without our knowledge and consent.
Booking will be confirmed only after receiving the advance payment.
In case of non availability of rooms in the mentioned hotels, this will be communicated to you and we will provide other options.
Hotels for each category are selected as per the budget and through our feedback system.
There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
Certain hotel may enforce special tariffs for mandatory gala/dinner on special dates like Christmas and/or New Year's Eve etc. The surcharge in the hotel tariff is not included while calculating the total cost of the package. You may need to pay additional amount for certain hotels for some special dates.
The dedicated vehicle provided to you is only to serve you the itinerary. It is not at your disposal.
As per Tawang local laws, outside vehicles are not allowed for local sightseeing. Therefore, we may have to arrange different local vehicle for Tawang sightseeing and we can’t assure about the quality of that vehicle as they provide vehicles as per their methods.
Credit Cards / Traveler's check are not freely accepted in many places.
In this region, roof carriers are not allowed in the vehicles. So, it is advised to bring luggage accordingly.
We advise you to check the temperature/weather of the places you are going to visit, and bring necessary clothes accordingly.
Woolen clothes, Jacket, Raincoat/Umbrella etc. are advisable to carry according to weather conditions.
