Itinerary

Day 1

Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Kaziranga (240km/5hrs)

After receiving you at the Guwahati airport, we will take you straight to Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga is a world heritage site situated in Assam. It is famous for one horned rhinoceros, for which thousands and thousands of tourists come to visit this place every year. If we reach early, we will visit the national park on jeep safari in the afternoon. Kaziranga is home to a number species of animals and birds. Apart from the rhino, it is home to tiger, leopard, Asiatic elephants, Indian bison, gaur, wild boar, deer, stag etc. The stay will be at a hotel in Kaziranga.

Day 2

Kaziranga Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)

Next day early morning, we will take you for elephant safari of the jungle. On the back of elephants, you will be taken to the areas which are not easily accessible by jeep or foot. You will have a better view of the inside of the park. We will also take you to another jeep safari in the afternoon. Each of these safaris will give you different views of the park. In the meantime you will be taken to the local sightseeing spots like the orchid garden, the tea gardens, and the ethnic village models. the stay will be at the same hotel.

Day 3

Kaziranga to Majuli (135km/4hrs)

After breakfast, we will start our journey towards the largest river island in the world – Majuli. Majuli was also recently declared as the first island district of India. The river island is so large that it becomes hard for people to believe that they are in the middle of a river! We can also arrange a meeting with the “Forest Man of India” Padma Shri Jadav Payeng. Kindly inform us in the morning if you are interested, so that we can arrange it on our way there (provided if he is available). Our stay will be at Majuli.

Day 4

Majuli Sightseeing (80km/7hrs)

On this day, we will explore Majuli. The attractions of Majuli are the Satras (Monasteries or institutions of Hindu -Vaishnavite culture), the Mising and other tribal villages, and also the cycle trips around the island. You will enjoy exploring the island. The stay will at the same place in Majuli.

Day 5

Majuli to Nameri (255km/7hrs)

From Majuli we will take you to Nameri national park. Nameri is situated in foothills of Himalaya in Assam and is very famous for the adventure activities in and around the national park. The main attractions are river rafting and angling on Jia Bhoroli river and jungle trekking inside Nameri national park. Nameri national park is also houses a wide range of animals and birds. The stay will be at a beautiful resort/hotel in Nameri.

Day 6

Nameri to Dirang (160km/6hrs)

We will take you to Dirang in the morning. Dirang is a valley also situated in the foothill ranges of Himalaya in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is quite famous among the birders as they often come to this valley for Himalayan birding. On reaching there, we will show you the beautiful valley and the sightseeing places around Dirang. The notable places to see in Dirang are Tibetan villages and the architectures of the village, monastery, Dirang – Dzong, an old electricity generating mill etc.

Day 7

Dirang to Tawang (145km/7hrs)

We will start our journey towards Tawang. Before reaching Tawang, we will get many places to see on our way. We will visit all of those places one by one and then finally we will reach Tawang. On our way, we will show you a hot water spring just outside Dirang, Sela Pass at 13,700 feet, Sela Lake (a.k.a. Paradise Lake), Jaswantgarh war memorial and Nuranung waterfalls. We will stay at Tawang.

Day 8

Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)

We will show you all the local places in Tawang. We will start in the morning. The notable places are the Tawang Monastery, Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, Nun Monastery and rope ways to Nun Monastery, emporium, apple orchards etc. The stay will be at the same hotel.

Day 9

Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

We will show you the places around Tawang (which are not within the vicinity of Tawang) like the India – China border at Bum La Pass, Sangester Lake, Heart Lake, Y Junction, PTSO Lake, and Nagula Lake. We will come back to Tawang by evening. The stay will be the same hotel. Please note that if you plan to visit the international border then make sure that you are choosing one our itineraries with at least three days’ stay in Tawang. This is because the visiting pass is very difficult to obtain in a single day.

Day 10

Tawang to Bomdila (185km/8hrs)

From Tawang, we will head back to Bomdila in the morning. Bomdila is a beautiful town also situated in the foothills of Himalayan ranges. It is also famous for Himalayan birding as the Eaglenest wildlife sanctuary is nearby the town. The other attractions of the town include a monastery (Bomdila monastery), Bomdila market, apple orchards etc. The night’s stay will be at a hotel in Bomdila.

Day 11

Bomdila to Guwahati (350km/8hrs)

Next morning, we will set out for Guwahati. Guwahati is a beautiful city in Assam, and it has many tourist destinations to check out. The prime destinations are Kamakhya temple – one of the ancient temples of India, Umananda – the smallest river island in the world, Deepor Beel – a freshwater lake and a bird sanctuary, evening river cruises on the mighty river Brahmaputra etc. The stay will be in a hotel at Guwahati.

Day 12

Guwahati Sightseeing, Airport Drop (100km/7hrs)

Next morning, if we have some time, we will show you a place or two around Guwahati before you leave for the airport. After that we will drop you at the airport.

Cost of 1 jeep safari with a dedicated jeep in Kaziranga National Park is included in the package.
Cost of 1 elephant safari in a shared elephant ride in Kaziranga National Park, subjected to availability, is included in the package.
Pickup and drop from Guwahati Airport / Railway station/Bus station.
All sightseeing, land transfer & inter hotel transfer.
Driver allowance, Toll, Parking, Road Tax, Fuel charge, night halt, Interstate charges, Kaziranga Forest toll and forest guard welfare fees are included.
Child below 5 yrs sharing same bed with parents will be complimentary and will be according to hotel rules.

Vehicle Details

The standard package cost is calculated for either a Toyota Innova (AC) or a Mahindra Maarazzo (AC). So, a dedicated vehicle of the said type, with a dedicated driver, would be provided for all of the five package options.

Paradise Northeast does NOT have any HIDDEN CHARGES.
If someone asks for extra money during the journey, Please inform us. We will not be responsible if you pay the amount without our knowledge and consent.
Booking will be confirmed only after receiving the advance payment.
In case of non availability of rooms in the mentioned hotels, this will be communicated to you and we will provide other options.
Hotels for each category are selected as per the budget and through our feedback system.
There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
Certain hotel may enforce special tariffs for mandatory gala/dinner on special dates like Christmas and/or New Year's Eve etc. The surcharge in the hotel tariff is not included while calculating the total cost of the package. You may need to pay additional amount for certain hotels for some special dates.
The dedicated vehicle provided to you is only to serve you the itinerary. It is not at your disposal.
As per Tawang local laws, outside vehicles are not allowed for local sightseeing. Therefore, we may have to arrange different local vehicle for Tawang sightseeing and we can’t assure about the quality of that vehicle as they provide vehicles as per their methods.
Credit Cards / Traveler's check are not freely accepted in many places.
In this region, roof carriers are not allowed in the vehicles. So, it is advised to bring luggage accordingly.
We advise you to check the temperature/weather of the places you are going to visit, and bring necessary clothes accordingly.
Woolen clothes, Jacket, Raincoat/Umbrella etc. are advisable to carry according to weather conditions.

The guest must carry photo identification like Passport, Voter ID Card or Driving License IN ORIGINAL at the point of check in at the hotel.

The normal check-in time for a hotel is 2 PM, and normal check-out time for a hotel is 11 AM. However, this is subjected to change as per the hotel policies. The timing of meals and/or inclusions of a certain hotel room are as per the hotel policies.
