Itinerary

Day 1

Places: Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong (100Km/6hrs)

We will receive you at Guwahati Airport and take you for the holy visit of Kamakhya temple in the Nilachal Hills. After that, will take you straight to Shillong, which is nearly 4 hours drive from Guwahati. Shillong, a beautiful hill station also known as the â€œScotland of the Eastâ€ is the capital city of Meghalaya and one of the major tourist destinations of East India. In the route, we will stop at Umiam Lake where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake. After reaching Shillong, we will check you in to your hotel where you will stay for the night. If time permits, we will take you to local sightseeing of the city.

Day 2

Places: Laitlum Canyons & Krang Suri Waterfalls Sightseeing (220km/8hrs)

After breakfast, we will take you to the Laitlum Canyons, situated at around 30kms away from Shillong, near Smit valley. After enjoying the cloudy landscapes in the green canyons, we will move towards the exciting sightseeing of Krang Suri waterfalls. Situated at around 90kms away from Shillong, in the Jaintia hills, Krang Suri is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of India. It is famous for its crystal clear blue waters. After enjoying a wonderful day, we will return to Shillong for the nightâ€™s stay.

Day 3

Places: Shillong Sightseeing (60km/7hrs)

Shillong, a beautiful hill station also known as the â€œScotland of the Eastâ€ is the capital city of Meghalaya and one of the major tourist destinations of East India. Shillong is famous for its clean steep streets, beautiful lakes, parks and of course the breathtaking waterfalls. So on this day, we will take you out on a local sightseeing of this place. Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco Museum, Elephant falls, Shillong peak, and golf course are some notable sightseeing destinations in the city. We will stay at the same place in Shillong.

Day 4

Places: Shillong to Mawlynnong, Mawlynnong & Dawki sightseeing, Dawki to Cherrapunji (240km/8hrs)

In the morning, we will head towards the Asiaâ€™s cleanest village Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong is famous for its cleanliness and living root bridges. We will further take you to Dawki, about 20 kilometers south of Mawlynnong. Dawki lies at the border of India and Bangladesh and is famous for a suspension bridge over Umngot River (commonly known as Dawki bridge) constructed by British in 1932. Optional boating is also available on the crystal clear waters of Umngot River. After sightseeing at Dawki, we will head towards Cherrapunji for the night's stay.

Day 5

Places: Cherrapunji sightseeing. (50Km/7hrs)

This day would be sightseeing at the wettest place on the Earth! Yes, we are talking about Cherrapunji, which holds the all-time record for the most rainfall in a year. Cherrapunji is famous for Wah Kaba, Arwah Lumshynna Cave, Nohkalikai waterfalls, Seven Sister waterfalls, Mawsmai caves (and of course the unending rainfalls of summer) etc. We will show you all the notable places in Cherrapunji. The nightâ€™s stay will be at the same place in Cherrapunji.

Day 6

Places: Cherrapunji to Kaziranga (320Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, we will start our journey towards Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park is a world heritage site situated in the heart of Assam. It is a beautiful forest, with wonderful animals and birds to watch. The most prominent one is the one horned rhinoceros, for which thousands of tourists from all over the world visits Kaziranga every year. After reaching there, we will check in to our hotel in Kaziranga for a relaxing stay.

Day 7

Places: Kaziranga Sightseeing, Kaziranga Safaris (70Kms/8hrs)

Early morning we will take you for exciting elephant safari. Feel the gratifying pleasure in the early morning elephant safari across National Park. Meet the pride of India, the great Asian one-horned Rhinos with wild Buffalo, Tiger, Elephant, variety of Deer, Python and variety of migratory birds, water birds, predators, scavengers and game birds etc. The ride will make you feel like sailing mysteriously on a green sea as the grass is as high as elephant. After breakfast, we will show you the local places around Kaziranga like the national orchid park, the ethnic village, model Assamese village, tea gardens, etc. This would be followed by a Jeep Safari at the national park, after lunch. Also don't forget to enjoy the delicious cuisines of Assam. After a complete day of enjoyment, you will be taken to your hotel for the night's stay.

Day 8

Places: Kaziranga to Guwahati, Airport Drop

After breakfast, we will check out from hotel and drive back to Guwahati. We will drop you at the airport according to your departure time with the sweet memories of the trip with Kaziranga Travels.

All transportation will be organized by us through an dedicated air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver.

Cost of 1 jeep safari with a dedicated jeep in Kaziranga National Park is included in the package.
Cost of 1 elephant safari in a shared elephant ride in Kaziranga National Park, subjected to availability, is included in the package.
Pickup and drop from Guwahati Airport / Railway station/Bus station.
All sightseeing, land transfer & inter hotel transfer.
Driver allowance, Toll, Parking, Road Tax, Fuel charge, night halt, Interstate charges, Kaziranga Forest toll and forest guard welfare fees are included.
Child below 5 yrs sharing same bed with parents will be complimentary and will be according to hotel rules.

Vehicle Details

The standard package cost is calculated for either a Toyota Innova (AC) or a Mahindra Maarazzo (AC). So, a dedicated vehicle of the said type, with a dedicated driver, would be provided for all of the five package options.

Note: In case a different vehicle type is needed, then please state the requirements in your query and we will send you a customized package file with quotations for the requirement.

Terms and Conditions

Above rates are calculated on the basis of hotels mentioned.
Paradise Northeast does NOT have any HIDDEN CHARGES.
If someone asks for extra money during the journey, Please inform us. We will not be responsible if you pay the amount without our knowledge and consent.
Booking will be confirmed only after receiving the advance payment.
In case of non availability of rooms in the mentioned hotels, this will be communicated to you and we will provide other options.
In case you are not convinced with the new options, advance paid will be refunded to you after deducting a service charge of INR 1,000.
Hotels for each category are selected as per the budget and through our feedback system.
There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
Certain hotel may enforce special tariffs for mandatory gala/dinner on special dates like Christmas and/or New Year's Eve etc. The surcharge in the hotel tariff is not included while calculating the total cost of the package. You may need to pay additional amount for certain hotels for some special dates.
The dedicated vehicle provided to you is only to serve you the itinerary. It is not at your disposal.
As per Tawang local laws, outside vehicles are not allowed for local sightseeing. Therefore, we may have to arrange different local vehicle for Tawang sightseeing and we can’t assure about the quality of that vehicle as they provide vehicles as per their methods.
Credit Cards / Traveler's check are not freely accepted in many places.
In this region, roof carriers are not allowed in the vehicles. So, it is advised to bring luggage accordingly.
We advise you to check the temperature/weather of the places you are going to visit, and bring necessary clothes accordingly.
Woolen clothes, Jacket, Raincoat/Umbrella etc. are advisable to carry according to weather conditions.
We suggest you to check reviews and location of hotels mentioned to make sure it is as per your preferences before confirming the package.
Any extra breakfast for kids which is not mentioned has to be paid directly by guest as per the hotel policy.
Paradise Northeast has the right to upgrade any hotel room type or vehicle type without charging extra amount from the guest. However, we never downgrade the same.
The guest must carry photo identification like Passport, Voter ID Card or Driving License IN ORIGINAL at the point of check in at the hotel.

The normal check-in time for a hotel is 2 PM, and normal check-out time for a hotel is 11 AM. However, this is subjected to change as per the hotel policies. The timing of meals and/or inclusions of a certain hotel room are as per the hotel policies.
