Itinerary

Day 1

Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Dirang (390km/9hrs)

We will receive you at youâ€™re the airport in the early morning at 6 to 7 AM and from there we will take you straight to Dirang. Dirang is a beautiful valley located in the foothills of the Himalayan ranges. The prime attractions of Dirang are the monastery, Dirang â€“ Dzong, old Tibetan architectures along the Tibetan villages, and a hot water spring. Your stay will be at Dirang for the night.

Day 2

Sangti valley and Mandala top sightseeing (80Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, we will take you out to Sangti valley, which is situated around 15kms away from Dirang. After reaching there, we will take you for a walk in and around of Sangti Valley. Fruits such as Apple, Kiwi, Apple, Corn, Green leafy vegetables are widely available in this region. Sangti valley is famous for its breathtaking scenic beauty. It is also the favorite destinations for birders, as migratory bird are seen here. After enjoying the sights, we will head towards the hilltop of Mandala. The hill top is a famous spot for birding. It also has 108 stupas encircled in a beautiful way. After sightseeing, we will return to Dirang for nightâ€™s stay. Please note that Mandala top sightseeing is subjected to road clearance.

Day 3

Dirang to Tawang (150Km/8hrs)

After Breakfast, we will check out from hotel and we will take you to sightseeing of the valley. This beautiful valley is surrounded hills covered with fruit orchards. After that, we will start our journey towards Tawang. It is perched on a vast slope of Himalayan mountainside. After light meal we are back on the way to one of the highest motor able Pass of northeast India- the Sela Pass (13700 ft.). The approach to Sela is usually marked by fog and hilly imperfect roads. En-route we will also cover Nuranang waterfalls and Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Tawang is an ideal place to go for walks especially around the villages spread on the hill side below the main town. It has mostly been remembered in times of war (1962 Indo Chinese war). Overnight at Tawang.

Day 4

Around Tawang Sightseeing (100Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, start your day with breathtaking view of Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), surrounded by snow-capped mountains and the valley offer a spectacular view. Next move on to Bum La Pass, about 37km away from Tawang, which is the indo-china border that lies at 15,200 ft above sea level. On your way back stop by heart lake, PTSO lake, Naghula lake, this will surely make your day (Please note that sightseeing of these places would require you to hire a local taxi and hence it is optional. Also, Bum La Pass visit is subjected to road clearance by Indian Army). After this return to your hotel for comfortable overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 5

Tawang Sightseeing (50Km/7hrs)

After breakfast we will go for sightseeing in and around Tawang. We will visit most of the sightseeing spots in Tawang including, Craft Centre, Tawang War Memorial (light and sound show in the evening), Urgelling Monastery - the birth place of Sixth Dalai Lama, other nunneries or oldest Ani gompas and finally dominating the skyline, like a mighty medieval fortress is the massive three hundred year old Tawang Monastery â€“ the second largest Buddhist monastery in the world. We will take you to a light and sound show, displaying the pride and valor of Indian Army. Overnight stay at Tawang.

Day 6

Tawang to Bomdila (190Km/8hrs)

After breakfast, we will take you straight to Bomdila. After reaching there, we will take you out for sightseeing of the local places in Bomdila. The Buddhist Monasteries, Craft center are some places you would like to visit. In the evening youâ€™ll enjoy local market. Afterwards return to your hotel for the overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 7

Bomdila to Shergaon, Shergaon sightseeing (50kms/8hrs)

After breakfast, we will head toward Shergaon, a small village that lies near the border of Bhutan. Identified as one of the prominent offbeat destination in the western Arunachal Pradesh, Shergaon is home to a wide variety of horticulture farms, a 300 year old Gompa (monastery), a beautiful waterfall, and long stretches of beautiful landscapes ideal for walking. Interestingly, there are no hotels in Shergaon, and you will have to rely on either homestays or camps. After reaching there in the afternoon, we will check in to our homestay, and then take you out for sightseeing. At first, we will take you to the State Horticulture Farm, which houses more than 40 varieties of apple, and a lot of exotic fruits like cherry, cranberry, blackberry, etc. There is also a megalithic site in the village. We will take you there, if time permits. You can walk through the village in the golden hours, and enjoy the sunset. (Note here that the guides required for sightseeing in Shergaon are optional). The night's stay will be at a homestay in the village.

Day 8

Shergaon to Guwahati, Airport Drop (240Km/7hrs)

Early in the morning, you can go on a hike to the Choskorong waterfall (this is optional). We can take you to the hiking destination. Post breakfast, we will start our journey towards Guwahati. After travelling through the beautiful hilly roads of Arunachal Pradesh and plains of Assam for about 7 hours, we will reach our destination. In the evening, we will drop you at the airport, with some sweet memories of your tour to Northeast India.

Vehicle Details

The standard package cost is calculated for either a Toyota Innova (AC) or a Mahindra Maarazzo (AC). So, a dedicated vehicle of the said type, with a dedicated driver, would be provided for all of the five package options.

Paradise Northeast does NOT have any HIDDEN CHARGES.
If someone asks for extra money during the journey, Please inform us. We will not be responsible if you pay the amount without our knowledge and consent.
Booking will be confirmed only after receiving the advance payment.
In case of non availability of rooms in the mentioned hotels, this will be communicated to you and we will provide other options.
In case you are not convinced with the new options, advance paid will be refunded to you after deducting a service charge of INR 1,000.
Hotels for each category are selected as per the budget and through our feedback system.
There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
Certain hotel may enforce special tariffs for mandatory gala/dinner on special dates like Christmas and/or New Year's Eve etc. The surcharge in the hotel tariff is not included while calculating the total cost of the package. You may need to pay additional amount for certain hotels for some special dates.
The dedicated vehicle provided to you is only to serve you the itinerary. It is not at your disposal.
As per Tawang local laws, outside vehicles are not allowed for local sightseeing. Therefore, we may have to arrange different local vehicle for Tawang sightseeing and we can’t assure about the quality of that vehicle as they provide vehicles as per their methods.
Credit Cards / Traveler's check are not freely accepted in many places.
In this region, roof carriers are not allowed in the vehicles. So, it is advised to bring luggage accordingly.
We advise you to check the temperature/weather of the places you are going to visit, and bring necessary clothes accordingly.
Woolen clothes, Jacket, Raincoat/Umbrella etc. are advisable to carry according to weather conditions.

Any extra breakfast for kids which is not mentioned has to be paid directly by guest as per the hotel policy.
